Product Manager, AI Platform & Performance
Sigma Computing · San Francisco, CA
Apply on greenhouse →About the role
Every Sigma experience — every query, every workbook, every agent interaction — runs on a platform that has to be fast, observable, and reliable at enterprise scale.
As PM for AI Platform and Performance, you'll own the foundational capabilities that make that possible: query execution, compute and caching, metadata services, compiler components, agent infrastructure, platform observability, and data connectors.
This role is for a technically strong PM who can move comfortably between infrastructure tradeoffs and customer conversations — and who gets energy from both.
What you'll do
• Own the roadmap for how Sigma's AI platform scales — compute, observability, connectors, and the query infrastructure that powers it all.
• Partner closely with enterprise customers to understand performance pain points and translate them into platform improvements.
• Work with engineering to ship meaningful gains in latency, throughput, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Build the observability and agent monitoring capabilities that give customers and internal teams real visibility into how their workloads run.
• Make active prioritization calls across a wide surface area, with clear reasoning behind every tradeoff.
What we're looking for
• 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, data platforms, analytics, infrastructure, or developer-facing products
• A track record of owning and delivering a product roadmap end-to-end across technically complex areas
• Strong working knowledge of databases, distributed systems, query engines, caching, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with observability tooling, agent monitoring, or platform diagnostics is a strong plus
• Direct experience working with enterprise customers to understand needs and shape product decisions
• Clear communicator who can make complex backend topics understandable to engineering, customers, and executives
• Comfortable connecting platform investments to concrete customer outcomes and business value
• Energized by fast-moving startup environments with competing priorities and real ownership
